STUDY OF FACTORS AFFECTING RESEARCH PUBLICATION OF DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY FOREIGN STUDENTS AT FACULTY OF FINE AND APPLIED ARTS, SUAN SUNANDHA RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY
Abstract
This study aimed to explore factors affecting research publication of Doctor Philosophy of foreign students. The samples of this study were 77 students from Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. The sample size was calculated by the formula of Raosoft (2004). The research instrument was the questionnaires. The data from the question-naires was analyzed using Descriptive Statistics: frequencies, mean and standard deviation.
The findings revealed that the most three factors affecting research publication were plan-ning, writing, and publishing research articles (

= 4.50, S.D.= 0.707), objectives for publish-ing research articles (e.g., to develop yourself, to express knowledge about and interest in the subject matter, to advance one’s career) ( X =4.48, S.D.= 0.707), and intelligence/basic knowledge in publishing research articles ( X = 4.20, S.D.= 1.095). Moreover, the lowest of three factors affecting research publication were age ( X = 2.08, S.D.= 1.010), health ( X =2.68, S.D.= 1.385), and average monthly income ( X = 3.03, S.D.= 0.987).
