Abstract

This research is to study the factors that influence the sustainability of oil palm industry operations of small and medium sized enterprises in the southern region. The target population is executives, staff, or employees working within the palm oil crushing mill in the southern region. The tools used for data collection were In-depth interview. The research found that Government support, supply chain management, competitiveness, and entrepreneurial operations have an influence on the sustainability of palm oil industry operations of small and medium-sized enterprises in the southern region. In order to be certified according to the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) standards, which is a sustainable palm oil production standard that covers sustainability dimensions and is an internationally recognized standard. The sustainability of the oil palm industry must be achieved by focusing on improving the efficiency of the palm oil industry. Including participation from both the public and private sectors and entrepreneurs in the oil palm industry.
