RESEARCH ON THE GUIDELINES IMPROVEMENT OF HOMESTAY DESIGN IN ZHONGYUAN CITY, YICHUN CITY AND JIANGXI PROVINCE IN CHINA

Abstract

This study focuses on the integration of traditional culture into rural housing in Zhongyuan
Township, combining the traditional culture of Zhongyuan Township with the charming
atmosphere of natural and ecological rural areas. The study investigates the feasibility and
criticality of using traditional culture in homestays through literature and case studies.
Numerous case studies were conducted, including a questionnaire survey of residents in Jiangxi
Province, to obtain research results. The case studies conclude that the use of traditional
homestays is a highly suitable method that can effectively pass down traditional culture and
attract more tourists. The questionnaire results indicate the residents' love and expectations for
traditional customs.
Two important conclusions were drawn:
1. The traditional culture of Zhongyuan Township, Jing'an County, Yichun City, Jiangxi
Province is suitable to be integrated into homestays.
2. the majority of people believe that integrating traditional culture into homestays can not
only enhance the accommodation environment but also allow tourists to understand the local
traditional characteristics.
