THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENGLISH READING COMPREHENSION SKILLS BY USING EXERCISE BOOK TO IMPROVE LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT IN ENGLISH SUBJECT OF GRADE 4 STUDENTS AT DEMONSTRATION SCHOOL OF SUAN SUNANDHA RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY
Abstract
The purposes of these research were to (1) to develop the exercise book to be effective according to the set criteria 80/80 (2) to compare pretest and posttest of English learning achievements of grade 4 students Demonstration school of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University
The purposive samplings used in the experiment were grade 4 students in the first semester of the academic year 2023. The tools used were (1) reading comprehension exercise book (2) lesson plans 3) English learning achievement. This research analyzed the statistical data by using the mean (????̅), standard deviation (S.D.), E1/E2 values and testing the hypothesis using dependent t-test.
The results showed that reading comprehension exercise book has an effectiveness at 81/82, which was higher than the set criteria and the learning achievement of the experimental group posttest was also significantly higher than pretest at the .05 level.
