FACTORS THAT INFLUENCED TO THE STUDENT’S DECISION ON PARTICIPATING IN EXTRA CURRICULUM ACTIVITIES AT THE FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, SUAN SUNANDHA RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY.
Abstract
The objective of this research was to study factors influenced the student’s decision on participating in extra curriculum activities at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Bangkok, Thailand. The instrument for collecting the data was questionnaires. The statistical methods use for analyzing data were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings were 1) the level of opinion about factors affected on participated decision in extra curriculum activities were high in five aspects that rank from high to low were Ⅰ) the benefits of activities, Ⅱ) the activities format, Ⅲ) the activities event location, Ⅳ) the public relations of activities, Ⅴ) influenced by family and friends, and moderate in one aspect was the activities time period. 2) There were only 3 factors that influencing the student’s decision on participation in extra curriculum activities were the activities format (β = .550), the benefits of activities (β = .281) and the activities time period (β = .132) at the statistical significance .05 level. 3) From this study found that the student’s decision to participate in extra curriculum activities were high level.
