Abstract

The study of Making a movie using the concept of Sense of place In the movie at the
“Place” was born from the writer's personal frustration with the childhood home he once lived
in. It is a center of many cultures, religions, and various ways of life mixed together in it. The
writer's purpose in making this film was beyond exploring one's identity and space. The author
also wanted to make a film that was entertaining in the sense of an art film. Therefore, the
creation process must be meticulous. In order to integrate the essence along with the
entertainment in a balanced way.
The objective of this thesis is to study the role of the film director in the film preparation
process, from the process of finding information to writing the script. Filming planning process
to the filming process throughout the preparation for making the movie The author gained a lot
of experience through trial and error, research and thinking in making such films. By applying
the concept of Sense of Place to take it from the writer. And then put it into the screenplay. To
make it a movie that can tell the story and can be a work that can tell the identity of the writer
very well. By coming to various points that the audience will receive and be able to be
entertained with the movie
