"Way of life Khiri Wongkot" aims to study in local material and the cultural capital of Khiri Wongkot village, Na Yung district, Udon Thani province. The researcher analyze, synthesize and design a creative products under the “Way of life Khiri Wongkot” framework by collecting information from documents, books, researches, academic articles and also had a field work collecting information from the community which is related to packaging design, logo and Khiri Wongkot’s local materials.
The study result was found that natural dyed shawl with a size of 60 x 180 centimeters is the local product of Khiri Wongkot village, Na Yung district, Udon Thani province. From the further information from a field work in the community was found that there is no brand and packaging. They only have the community identity such as an ecotourism by “E-tak car” which is the community’s tour vehicle. The local animal is “Stone crab” and Para rubber is their industrial crop. The researcher brought the concept of Chanoknart Mayusoh (2020) stated that “The design of visible symbolic by detail reduction but retain the main structural pattern.” and the concept from Thipsuda Phatumanont (1992) stated that “A logo design by adding an element, picture in alphabet or alphabet in a picture. It will add a picture of animals, plants or anything that relates to its product and service and adding an inspirational item into a logo by using an animal and community tourism services.” Therefore, the researcher had used the mentioned concept to design a logo for Khiri Wongkot village by adding the use of local material in packaging production of natural dyed shawl, which concerns about the community production’s potential.
Khanin Phriwanrat Copyright (c) http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSVIENNA2023/article/view/930 Mon, 20 Mar 2023 00:00:00 +0700 STAFF SELF-DEVELOPMENT MANUAL AT FACULTY OF FINE AND APPLIED ARTS, SUAN SUNANDHA RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSVIENNA2023/article/view/931
This research on Staff Self-Development Manual aims to study on staff self-development, importance and procedures of staff development in various models in order to create Staff Self-Development Manual at Faculty of Applied and Fine Arts for gaining more efficient operations and improving knowledge and abilities to be consistent with policies and demands of the university. Experimental and qualitative research methods with two procedures, that is to study related concepts and theories of material characteristics in step one and to give an experiment in product procedures in step two, were conducted in this research. From the study, it was found that algaes can be naturally found in Phetchaburi Province Thailand's shrimp farms and mostly grows around brackish water areas. In some areas, this plant can be called Sarai Pomnhang, Gai, Tao or Thao, and its scientific name is Microspora sp. by the microscopic properties, it was found that filamentousunbranched, uniseriated, cells cylindrical, cell wall thick and stratified, cross wall H-shaped, chloroplast parietal and net-like appearance, which is similar to human hair. The fibers are also sticky and shiny, colored in light and dark green, and soft as wool so that fibers can adhere to themselves well. It grows well in shrimp farms with brackish water ecosystems by adhering to soil. To process algae fibers, it is necessary to wash, dry and fluff the fibers for easy spinning. and weaving mixed with cotton fibers. By three experiments on the ratio of algal fibers : cotton. The ratio 30:70 is that the fibers can bind so well that make textile strength. The ratio 50:50 is that the fibers bind to medium but can make the textile strength. The ratio 70:30 is that fibers are quite difficult to hold together and easily broken so the resulting textile has less strength. The properties of each ratio can be applied as alternative material in the fashion industry and lifestyle products differ according to suitability. For example, 30:70 is suitable for fashion and lifestyle products, 50:50 is suitable for lifestyle products, and 70:30 is suitable for decorative products. Algae fibers are therefore an alternative material that can be applied in the fashion industry and lifestyle products. The textiles not only add more value to agricultural waste, it is also used as local raw materials for maximum benefit without anything wasted, which corresponds to the BCG economic model that mainly focuses on design concepts for a sustainable environment.
Mongkol Ingkutanon, Patcha U-Tiswannakul Copyright (c) http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSVIENNA2023/article/view/932 Mon, 20 Mar 2023 00:00:00 +0700 A STUDY OF THE TRADITIONAL PATTERNS ON DON KAI DEE BENJARONG PORCELAIN TO DESIGN HANGING WALL ART FOR SOUVENIR PRODUCTS http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSVIENNA2023/article/view/933
A souvenir is a reminder of special moments. The groups used for this research were nine Phetchaburi craftsmen form eight craftsmanship including stucco art, gold lacquer and gilded black lacquer art, Thai mural painting, banana stalk carving (Thaeng yuak), paper engraving, Khon-mask making and animal-head sculpting. Statistics used for analyzing data are percentage, mean and standard deviation and found that;
1. Both Phetchaburi male and female craftsmen have approximate mean; 55.6 for male and 44.4 for female. Both age ranges are in 41-50 years old and their educational backgrounds are between Secondary School to Bachelor Degrees. Most craftsmen from the craftsmanship inherited wisdom from their family and have passed the wisdom to their children continuously. Some craftsmanship, however, would be lost due to the lack of a successor. The characteristics of the current craftworks are both conservation and reconstruction which are mainly focusing on work improvement. Many learning centers have been established with skilled lecturers ,and there has been added as a course in educational institutions.
2. There are two types of materials used in craftsmanship ,including main ingredients which cannot be replaced by others and secondary ingredients which can be substituted by others.
3. There are two types of works in Phetchaburi craftsmanship — a conservation work with a narrative style which is a creative work of Lord Buddha stories according to Thai traditions ,and a craftwork invention to be used as a decoration.
4. For Phetchaburi craftsmanship uniqueness, it was found that the stucco works have asymmetrical patterns. There is a swaying pattern known as leaf wrapping (Hor Bai), and there is a long and swaying style throughout the patterns. The banana stalk carving works (Thaeng yuak works) have a plumper pattern. It is because when the time has passed over, the banana stalk shrinks so that this makes its patterns beautiful. Khon-mask making identity is in drawing which is not much in details, emphasizing in drawing lines with a lot of striped texture and thick patterns. In lacquering works, the distinct uniqueness is drawing with twisted line patterns (Bid Hor Lai) to create dimensions and swaying with patterns. The uniqueness of Thai mural painting is using warm color tones with drawing a line without drafting to make a free pattern. In paper engraving, the identity is a paring chisel (Sil Med Tang) which the characteristics are curved at the end and back without grooves so that it can allow smooth and continuous patterns. In gold lacquering, its identity is in techniques and elaboration in patterns composition.
Pisit Puntien Copyright (c) http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSVIENNA2023/article/view/937 Mon, 20 Mar 2023 00:00:00 +0700 FACTORS INFLUENCING CONSUMER DECISIONS TO BUY PRODUCTS VIA MOBILE APPLICATIONS http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSVIENNA2023/article/view/938
The purpose of this research was to study the factors influencing the decision to purchase products via mobile applications of consumers in Thailand. It was experimental and qualitative research The researcher studied the properties of Borassus fruit fiber from agricultural waste and experimentally processed it into textiles.
The findings revealed that the properties of Borassus fruit fiber were 7-14 cm long and yellow. It would turn brown when it dried and it had high hardness. In experiments, the Borassus fruit fiber can be softened by boiling them with 500 g of ash and 15 liters of water per 300 g. It could be woven with cotton for being textiles by 3 ratios as follows: Ratio 1: 50% Borassus fruit fiber mixed with 50% cotton found that the textile was higher in hardness. Ratio 2: 30% Borassus fruit fiber mixed with 70% cotton found that the textile was lower in hardness. Ratio 3: 15% Borassus fruit fiber mixed with 85% cotton found that the textile was obviously soft and could be processed into lifestyle products such as clothes, bags, hats, and shoes. Thus, Borassus fruit fiber can be an alternative material that reduces agricultural waste and increases the efficient use of resources.
