This research utilized a quasi-experimental and qualitative approach to obtain in-depth data and comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis. The sample was made up of ten first-year music students (n = 10) who were in the rhythm and practice group of a drum set skills course. An study of the needs of the students was the first step in the research process, which then involved designing and developing instructional media prototypes, such as worksheets, hand-foot separation activities, and demonstration films. After that, these prototypes were put to the test in actual classroom settings. Semi-structured interviews, a portfolio, a satisfaction questionnaire, and a drum set practice exam with a fivedimensional assessment rubric were among the instruments used to gather data. Paired t-tests and ANCOVA were used to examine the quantitative data, and content analysis was used to assess the qualitative data. The results revealed that students demonstrated statistically significant improvement in their drum set performance skills (p < 0.001, Hedges' g = 1.35) and high levels of overall satisfaction with the media (mean = 4.32 out of 5.00), particularly regarding "the media helped them understand hand and foot movements clearly." Most students agreed that the media facilitated systematic practice, demonstrated personal progress, and increased their motivation to learn. In conclusion, the developed media can effectively promote performance skills and create an effective practical learning experience for students in the foundation group. The findings indicate that music in the community is more than just talent training or aesthetic expression; it is also a worlding creation in which players may negotiate their identities, question social silences, and build shared spaces. Music in the slums is thus viewed as both a therapeutic tool and a political venue for revealing the truth about social cooperation. This study does more than just build a musical methodological space that acknowledges the role of music as a social practice, ideology, and reality that emerges in daily life. This study also underlines that music is more than simply the sound we hear; it is also the sound that makes us aware of our surroundings and how they work against or oppress us. This study aims to show that music in the slums is a space of truth, where individuals not only sing or perform, but also experiment with coexisting under dominant constraints and new possibilities in contemporary life. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, collecting quantitative data from a sample of 296 residents in the Koh Phayam community and qualitative data from in-depth interviews with government representatives and focus group discussions with private sector entrepreneurs. The assessment of the level of readiness across the 10 aspects of green potential revealed varied performance. The highest overall readiness was observed in the top three aspects, categorized as "Highest": Caring for Nature ( = 4.56), Management and Information ( = 4.48), and Caring for Culture ( = 4.44), which demonstrates the community's strength in conservation and knowledge dissemination. Conversely, aspects falling into the "Moderate" category included Caring for Climate ( = 2.73), Caring for Water ( = 3.04), and Good Employment ( = 3.17). The dimension with the lowest overall readiness was Food & Products ( = 2.50), categorized as "Lowest". A closer examination of the sub-items highlighted significant gaps in financial commitment and stringent standards, particularly in offsetting at least 10% of annual carbon emissions ( = 1.10), investing at least 10% of revenue in community sustainability projects ( = 1.75), and offering at least 80% organic food ( = 1.71). These findings suggest that despite high readiness in conservation and communication, major gaps exist in formalizing policy, financially investing in green initiatives, and adopting strict environmental practices. The results are intended to serve as sustainable management guidelines for achieving a balance between income generation and the conservation of natural and cultural resources in Koh Phayam, Ranong Province, Thailand. This paper examines how the State Welfare Card Policy a flagship welfare populist initiative has influenced political dynamics among parties, interest groups, and voters. Drawing on literature from political economy, welfare politics, and electoral studies, the study explores how welfare populism functions as both a tool of economic redistribution and a mechanism of political legitimacy. Using qualitative synthesis and case-based analysis, this research identifies three core findings: (1) the Welfare Card reflects a structural shift in Thailand’s populist politics from charisma-based to institutionalized welfare populism; (2) interest groups, including bureaucratic agencies, business sectors, and grassroots organizations, play strategic roles in shaping welfare delivery and political messaging; and (3) welfare populism has redefined electoral competition by linking social protection with political loyalty. The paper concludes that welfare populism, while improving short-term equity, risks reinforcing dependency and partisan polarization unless accompanied by structural reforms and participatory governance. This paper argues that the psychoanalytic concepts of melancholia and mourning help illuminate how politics of loss operate in shaping collective identity and hegemony. Drawing from Thailand’s political conflicts between 2019 and 2022— between patriotic-conservative and progressive-democratic forces—the paper distinguishes two forms of political mobilization: melancholic attachment to an idealized past and mourninglike transformation toward new possibilities. Identifying with lost objects not only generates affective energy but also constitutes a struggle for hegemony through the creation of empty signifiers such as order or future. This psychosocial framework reveals how movements mobilize desire and passion in pursuit of political dominance. It was aligned with the national human capital agenda and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goals 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and 5 (Gender Equality). A qualitative phenomenological approach was employed, combining documentary analysis and field investigation. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 32 key informants, including administrators and officers from eight female correctional institutions nationwide. The findings indicated that female inmates faced heightened vulnerabilities, particularly in mental health, substance dependence, and reintegration challenges. Sustainable correctional reform therefore required a holistic, gender-responsive approach integrating healthcare, rehabilitation, and psychosocial support. Three key factors emerged: creating healthy physical and social environments, expanding education and vocational training, and fostering psychological resilience. The proposed framework comprised four dimensions—input, process, output, and outcome—and emphasized five components: infrastructure and sanitation, holistic health programs, nutrition, mental health support, and interagency collaboration. Effective coordination across correctional, health, and community sectors was found essential for implementation and sustainability. Ultimately, health-promoting prisons enhanced rehabilitation, dignity, and empowerment for female inmates, reinforcing Thailand’s commitment to sustainable development and human rights. Data collection was conducted using interviews, document analysis, and in-depth interviews with 17 key informants. A purposive, triangulated approach was used to analyze data, interpret it, and draw inductive conclusions. The results revealed that artificial intelligence (AI) significantly impacts the development of undergraduate teaching and learning processes, enabling more flexibility and responsiveness to learners' needs. AI helps instructors understand student behavior and potential, enabling effective personalized teaching. At the same time, it transforms instructors' roles into facilitators rather than content transmitters. However, the use of AI must be guided by ethical principles and the conscious use of technology to ensure sustainable learning and truly empower students in the 21st century. This pressure comes from two major challenges happening at once: the growing U.S.-China rivalry and the internal conflict in neighboring Myanmar since 2021. Thailand's historical "bamboo diplomacy," which has become a modern "hedging" (or risk-spreading) strategy, is being put to the test. This article asks: How does Thailand's need to manage the immediate security crisis in Myanmar change or support its hedging strategy between Washington and Beijing? This paper argues that the Myanmar crisis is a small-scale test for Thai hedging. It shows that when group efforts like ASEAN fail, Thai policy falls back on a practical, national-interest-first approach, focusing on border security and not interfering. This, however, creates friction with its traditional U.S. ally, while pragmatically (if uncomfortably) aligning with China's "handsoff" policy. This makes its delicate balancing act even harder. While the Thai government presents it as an economic project to bypass the crowded Strait of Malacca, this paper argues that the Land Bridge is mainly a geopolitical move. It places Thailand at the center of the growing US-China rivalry and is a major test of its traditional "hedging" (or balancing) foreign policy. This analysis explores the project's strategic impact, arguing that its success depends less on whether it makes money and more on Thailand's ability to manage the competing demands of the great powers. This research aimed to (1) investigate the level of organic cosmetics industry promotion among social media consumers in Chonburi Province, Thailand; (2) examine causal factors influencing the industry’s promotion; and (3) propose strategic guidelines for sustainable industrial development under Thailand’s Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) economy framework. A mixed-methods research design was applied. The quantitative phase involved 420 social media consumers selected through multi-stage sampling. Data were collected via structured questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS to verify the relationships among marketing strategy, entrepreneur credibility, service standards, government policy, and industry promotion. The qualitative phase included 16 key informants—entrepreneurs, government officials, and consumers—whose insights were analyzed using thematic content analysis to enrich quantitative findings. The results revealed that marketing strategy (β = 0.79) and entrepreneur credibility (β = 0.67) had the strongest positive effects on the promotion of the organic cosmetics industry. Service standards (β = 0.50) and government policy (β = 0.42) exerted indirect but significant effects by fostering consumer trust and industry reliability. The SEM model demonstrated excellent fit indices (χ²/df = 1.27, GFI = 0.96, CFI = 0.98, RMSEA = 0.031), confirming empirical consistency. The study concludes that enhancing marketing innovation, entrepreneurial ethics, and government support is crucial for advancing Thailand’s organic cosmetics sector. The proposed framework highlights the need for integrated collaboration among entrepreneurs, policymakers, and consumers to promote sustainable industry growth through transparency, trust, and technology-based marketing. Unlike conventional walking aids, the proposed system integrates multiple sensor modalities to provide a holistic monitoring approach. The study emphasizes not only the technical validation of the device but also user-centered aspects such as ergonomics, usability, and caregiver support. This comprehensive approach enhances its potential for real-world adoption. Falls are a leading cause of injury, dependency, and reduced quality of life among older adults. This study presents the design and development of an IoT-based smart cane equipped with multiple sensors to enhance mobility safety for elderly users in Thailand's rapidly aging society. The cane integrates an MPU6050 accelerometer, MAX30102 pulse oximeter, and FSR402 pressure sensor, all connected to an ESP8266 microcontroller with GPS functionality. These components allow real-time monitoring of balance, heart rate, and oxygen saturation, while also transmitting fall alerts to caregivers through IoT-based communication. Previous smart cane solutions have shown limitations including inadequate sensor integration, high false-alarm rates, and lack of cultural adaptation for Southeast Asian contexts. The prototype demonstrated 92% accuracy in fall detection with a 6% false alarm rate. Physiological measurements achieved acceptable precision (±2% for oxygen saturation, ±3 bpm for heart rate), while GPS tracking latency averaged 1.5 seconds. User feedback indicated increased walking confidence and satisfaction with ergonomic design, though further weight reduction was recommended. Results indicate that the smart cane reduces fall risks and improves confidence in walking Sutthikant Kittiphonvijitr Dulyawit Prangchumpol Shutchapol Chopvitayakun Witchayaporn Kongkham Panisara Viboonwat Copyright (c) 2026-03-04 2026-03-04 136 146 Development of Ice Cream Enriched with Copigmented Maoberry (Antidesma bunius (L.) Anthocyanins with Gum Arabic http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSTOKYO2026/article/view/2658 This study aimed to develop a functional ice cream enriched with copigmented maoberry (Antidesma bunius (L.) Spreng.) anthocyanins stabilized with gum arabic and to evaluate its physicochemical and antioxidant properties. Copigmented anthocyanins were added to the ice cream mix at concentrations of 0-4% (w/w). The formulations were evaluated for pH, viscosity, overrun, color, melting rate, total anthocyanin content, and antioxidant activity. Addition at 1– 3% enhanced viscosity, overrun, color intensity, and antioxidant activity, indicating improved stability and molecular interactions within the matrix. However, the 4% addition reduced both stability and antioxidant activity due to interactions among the ice cream components. The results show that moderate levels of copigmented anthocyanins improve texture, functionality, and nutritional quality, supporting the development of naturally colored, health-promoting dairy desserts. The framework of figurative language proposed by Leech (1969) was employed to categorize the metaphors, while the literary elements of children’s literature were analyzed based on the framework of Short, Lynch-Brown, and Tomlinson (2014). The findings reveal that the metaphors in The Little Prince can be classified into three categories: (1) Concretive Metaphors 79.17%, (2) Humanizing Metaphors 12.50%, and (3) Animistic Metaphors 8.33%, with frequencies appearing in descending order. Moreover, the analysis indicates that the metaphors in this text are complex and require interpretative engagement, suggesting that The Little Prince does not fully conform to the characteristics of children’s literature. Instead, it represents philosophical literary work that encourages deeper interpretation, making it more suitable for adult readers than for young readers in its original form. This research aims to improve the production plant layout of an engine and agricultural machinery manufacturing by applying a systematic layout planning method (SLP) to increase space utilization efficiency, reduce redundant material handling, and lower production costs. Research operations using the SLP method start with (1) collecting data on plant layouts and production processes (PQRST), (2) analyzing production process activities, ( 3) analyzing relationships between activities, ( 4) calculating usable area, and ( 5) design alternative plant layouts. The tools used include flow charts, flow process charts, P-Q charts, from-to charts, activity relationship charts (ARC), and activity relationship diagrams (ARD). The data providers were 6 people, including the factory manager, production manager, human resources staff, and production line staff. Applying the systematic layout planning approach ( SLP) to data analysis and factory layout design resulted in a factory layout that reduced material handling distances in the production process. Research findings showed that production line A reduced handling distance by 77.1 meters (from 362.7 meters to 285.6 meters for alternative layout 2), and production line B reduced handling distance by 45.3 meters (from 197.5 meters to 152.2 meters for alternative layout 2). Reduce the number of path intersections in the production process, finding that the number of intersections decreased by 2 points (from 5 points to 3 points for alternative layout 2). This study investigates how traditional Thai fabrics particularly Pha Lai Kho Chao Fah and Pha Mud Mee Isan can evolve into smart textiles through the integration of heritage weaving and intelligent materials. It seeks to answer how smart materials can merge with Thai textile traditions to sustain cultural identity within the digital age. Adopting a qualitative approach, the research combined document analysis, semi-structured interviews with designers and artisans, and an experimental prototype incorporating thermochromic yarns into traditional motifs. The findings reveal that technological adaptation does not replace authenticity but revitalizes it, transforming Thai textiles into living cultural artifacts that communicate emotion, memory, and innovation. Artisans perceived the technology as a creative extension of craftsmanship rather than a disruption of tradition. The study’s significance lies in demonstrating how cultural heritage and digital innovation can coexist to inform global perspectives on sustainable fashion, creative design education, and community-based cultural preservation. It also underscores the role of interdisciplinary collaboration between universities, craftspeople, and local industries in bridging tradition and technology. By reinterpreting Thai textiles through smart materials, this research contributes to a broader understanding of how design can serve as a dialogue between the past and the future, between material intelligence and cultural identity. Utilizing a qualitative research methodology and grounded in established principles of Character Design Theory, this paper systematically analyzes how the non-linear, multi-path evolution system found in Digimon fundamentally contrasts with the typically linear, predictable evolution of Pokémon and the symbolic, thematic transformation mechanics in Yu-Gi-Oh! monsters. The analysis highlights three distinct design logics: the digital and flexible path of Digimon, the biological and structured growth of Pokémon, and the mythic and power-focused symbolism of Yu-Gi-Oh!. The core findings reveal that Digimon’s branching system significantly encourages a higher degree of design flexibility, allows for greater narrative depth by linking transformation to player choice and emotional triggers, and fundamentally enhances player engagement. This contrasts sharply with Pokémon’s structured growth model, which prioritizes world integrity and biological realism, and Yu-Gi-Oh!’s focus on expressing thematic symbolism and hierarchical power through fusion. This comparative insight emphasizes that non-linear evolution models can serve as a powerful inspiration for developing new, adaptable creative approaches in character design, interactive media, and transmedia storytelling in the modern digital age. Data was collected through in- depth interviews with five key entrepreneurs, and the information was analyzed using Thematic Content Analysis.the analysis revealed that the adoption of Fulfillment services introduces a complex trade- off in business operations. The primary motivations for using the service were the need for scalability and time-saving, allowing entrepreneurs to concentrate on strategic tasks such as marketing and product development. However, entrepreneurs simultaneously faced challenges, including higher variable costs and reduced flexibility in critical operational processes. Notably, while the speed of delivery improved significantly, the rate of delivery errors tended to increase during peak order periods. consequently, Fulfillment serves as a strategic tool that genuinely enables online businesses to scale and enhances brand credibility. Nevertheless, entrepreneurs must carefully manage the risks associated with accuracy and cost control to achieve maximum operational efficiency. This paper examines how resilient local governance enhances the effectiveness of conflict management in dynamic and uncertain environments. Drawing upon comparative insights from Southeast Asia and global literature indexed in Scopus, the study identifies three major findings: (1) resilience-based governance and local conflict management are conceptually intertwined through adaptability, inclusiveness, and learning; (2) key enabling factors include decentralization, participation, transparency, institutional learning, and multilevel coordination, while major constraints involve political interference, fiscal limitations, and institutional fragmentation; and (3) the study proposes a Resilient Local Conflict Governance (RLCG) Framework integrating adaptive capacity, inclusivity, and transparency as foundations for sustainable peace. The paper concludes with policy recommendations for strengthening local institutions to manage conflicts proactively, equitably, and collaboratively. As a long-standing U.S. treaty ally with deep and expanding economic ties to China, Thailand occupies a pivotal but precarious position in the Indo-Pacific. This research addresses the central question: How has Thailand's foreign policy evolved into a modern hedging strategy in the 21st century? Through a qualitative analysis of policy documents, defense procurement data, and diplomatic engagements, this paper argues that Thailand's contemporary approach is a multi-layered hedging strategy characterized by three core pillars: (1) security diversification to maintain the U.S. alliance while building defense ties with China; (2) calculated economic alignment with China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) while seeking alternative partnerships; and (3) a renewed emphasis on ASEAN centrality as a multilateral buffer against great power pressure. The findings suggest that modern Thai hedging is not passive neutrality but an active, pragmatic, and increasingly complex statecraft designed to maximize autonomy and national interest in a contested geopolitical landscape Nawin Tangchart Sunhanat Jakkapattarawong Keratiwan Kalayanamitra Copyright (c) 2026-03-04 2026-03-04 324 327 Exercise of joint parental authority: In the case of the adoptive parent married to the minor's biological father or mother http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSTOKYO2026/article/view/2684 This article ain to examines the joint exercise of parental authority by adoptive parents and birth parents under Thai law and comparative foreign legal systems, with a view to proposing legislative reforms that would enable the shared exercise of such authority where the adoptive parent and a birth parent are spouses. Employing a documentary research methodology, the study analyzes statutory provisions alongside comparative doctrines and principles from selected jurisdictions. Although adoption is not, in itself, a ground that extinguishes the relationship between the child and the child’s birth parents, the legal effect of adopting a minor in practice transfers parental authority over the minor entirely to the adoptive parent. This absolute transfer effectively displaces the natural and legally recognized authority of the birth parents and gives rise to incoherence in the allocation and exercise of parental powers between adoptive parents and birth parents—particularly in cases where the parties are married to each other. The study highlights these doctrinal tensions and uses comparative insights to formulate recommendations for clarifying and restructuring the legal framework governing shared parental authority in such family constellations. The study finds that while jurisdictions vary, a common guiding principle is the best interests of the child. Canada, in particular, provides that when an adoptive parent and a birth parent are married to each other, they automatically share parental authority to safeguard the child’ s welfare in line with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. To enhance legal clarity and reduce interpretive disputes, this article proposes amending the Thai Civil and Commercial Code to recognize joint parental authority where the adoptive parent is the spouse of a birth parent who already exercises parental powers— without extinguishing the birth parent’ s authority, unless a court determines that joint authority would not serve the minor’ s best interests. Such a reform would promote family stability, protect children’ s rights, and strengthen the Thai family institution. Family Group Conferences ( FGCs) , which are a familycentred approach in New Zealand's system, provide families (whānau) the authority to establish their own plans without requiring victim consent; however, victims are encouraged to be involved. By contrast, Japan's system emphasises youth accountability by integrating traditional approaches to mediation with official family court proceedings. By comparison, the research suggests reforming the Thai system by applying the principles of family empowerment, through changing the role of officials from planners to facilitators, and replacing absolute consent conditions with restorative mediation processes between offenders and victims. Such reforms would make the Thai juvenile justice system more effective and achieve real rehabilitation goals.
