To prepare for this we need to prepare the staff in health care team, especially the nurses. Research shows that the English proficiency in Thailand is not good. It is 62nd in the world (English proficiency, 2016). This result is in line with the study of Kamonrat, et al. and her team found that the ability of English is lower than the standard. The researcher, while teaching Antenatal Care, observed that there were foreign clients. The nursing students cannot advise pregnant women in English although they understand everything in Thai. The other researcher at Suan Sunandha university Teeraporn Kitjarak was found that the study findings reveal following : . Seventy-six point four percent of the target students have fair English speaking ability. Fifteen point five percent of them have the excellent English speaking ability and eight point one percent of them have the poor English speaking ability. The factors that affected English speaking of the students were English learning strategies (X 13 ), habits in learning English language (X 12 ) and their grade averages (X 5 ) at the 0.05 level
English of nursing skill must be improved during their studies. The researcher believes that they need more practice in using English especially in speaking.
Maternal and Child II practicum is the subject that the researcher and her students worked at Klang, Taksin and Phanangkao Hospitals. The nursing students practiced with pregnant women but when they have to advise the foreign pregnant women, they find difficulty in dealing with them. They cannot teach them although the students know the contents in Thai. The researcher was trying to encourage the use of English language. The method that was used to train them in English was through pre and post conferences. In some instances, the researcher tried to talk to the foreign clients in English in front of the students and discuss things with them in English. Most of the students would like to speak but they are short of vocabulary to express their ideas.
Phakaphon Taewrob, Felicesimo Enriquez Santiago Copyright (c) http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSMALTA2020/article/view/583 Wed, 11 Mar 2020 00:00:00 +0700 USE OF KNOWLEDGE PALMISTRY TO DIAGNOSIS NEUROPATHY, ACCORDING TO THE PRINCIPLES OF THAI TRADITIONAL MEDICINE. http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSMALTA2020/article/view/584
This research purpose to analyze 1) to knowledge of Palmistry can be diagnosis of neuropathy. 2) In order to know the science of Palmistry used to diagnostic according to the principles of Thai Traditional Medicine.
This research is a qualitative research, to record of document types of palmistry textbooks and Thai Traditional Medicine textbooks and samples of the patient who came to Thai Traditional Medicine clinic for diagnosis and treatment. Tourists are increasingly interested in ecotourism or sustainable tourism by experiencing the nature and learning of local culture, including the way of life of the villagers. Samut Songkhram is another province of Thailand that has cultures, traditions, and ways of life that are connected to the river from the past to the present, especially Amphawa sub-district which has long-history communities since the Ayutthaya period and is settled on the flat plain of the Mae Klong River Basin. There are Amphawa canals which separate from the Mae Klong River flowing through the community area. There are also many canals that flow through the community area. In addition, there are canals being connected as a network within the community area, resulting in the convenience of water transportation. Moreover, Amphawa community is also known as “Muang Sam Nam”, which is a city that has both fresh water, brackish water, and salt water. This results in biodiversity, including creating an abundance of ecosystems. It can be seen that the Amphawa community has very ridiculous cultural and natural resources. Ink becomes important forensic evidence. Blue ballpoint pen inks commonly found in Thailand, were discriminated using two techniques of thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Results were assessed, calculated and compared in terms of discriminatory power (DP) of ink obtained as a common writing instrument. The ink was extracted from the documents using three different solvents as ethanol, acetone and dichloromethane by both techniques. The TLC method employed five different mobile phases to separate pigment and compounds in each sample, while UV-Vis spectroscopy recorded four types of data including wavelength of λmax, amplitude of λmax, shoulder and minor absorption peaks. Total of 435 possible pen-pairs were distinguished based on results of the chromatograms and UV-Vis spectra. The TLC method discriminated the ink samples into 12 groups by ethanol extraction. The highest classification power was the TLC method using ethanol as the solvent the mobile phase system 1 (n-butanol: ethanol: H2O in a ratio 50:15:10 by volume). The UV-Vis spectroscopy method recorded optimal DP at 77.24% for ethanol extraction. Results indicated that the TLC technique was a more effective tool for blue ballpoint pen ink analysis than UV-Vis spectroscopy technique. In the future, higher DP can be achieved. Multivariate statistical techniques applied for data interpretation may lead to the development of blue ballpoint pen ink test kits for real-time use at crime scenes.
Vasinee Sombut, Ploysai Ohama, Narong Kulnides, Boon-ek Yingyongnarongkul Copyright (c) http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSMALTA2020/article/view/616 Wed, 11 Mar 2020 00:00:00 +0700 THE DEVELOPMENT OF 3F’S APPLICATION OF JUNIOR NURSING STUDENTS. http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSMALTA2020/article/view/617
Background: 3F’s– Being Healthy is a smartphone application which can be downloaded on IOS and Android system similar to online TV, Line applications, YouTube, Twitter, Camera, Spotify, etc. This feasibility study aimed to develop “3F’s Being Healthy” application guide for health promotion by junior nursing students.
Methods: Based on Thailand Healthy Lifestyle (2012), “3F’s– Being Healthy” is transformed to digital format in order to promote health for senior citizen. However, the differences between Thai Traditional Medicine healers and textbooks were that Thai Traditional Medicine healers did not check for blood pressure but they checked for palms and ankles in order to take the temperature, directly pressed a pain spot on the palm, examined the elements of Chaoreun (base elements) and fertilization to see the weakness of health. The differences between Thai Traditional Medicine practitioners and textbooks can contribute to the development of physical checking and diagnosis in Thai Traditional Medicine.
Supalak Fakkham, Kingkaew Jangsawad, Somjai Joeprakorn Copyright (c) http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSMALTA2020/article/view/619 Wed, 11 Mar 2020 00:00:00 +0700 INNOVATIVE INTEGRATED MARKETING COMMUNICATION AFFECTING TO PURCHASING DECISION MAKING ON PRODUCTS OF CHARINRADA FOODS COMPANY LIMITED http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSMALTA2020/article/view/620
These research objectives aimed to study 1) the innovative integrated marketing communication that influenced the purchasing decision on products of Charinrada Foods Company Limited 2) the innovative integrated marketing communication on products of Charinrada Foods Company Limited. Measuring longitudinal graduate outcomes of quality improvement (QI) education and practice from an undergraduate nursing programme in New Zealand (NZ) is the focus of this paper. This reports on two interlinking research projects that followed a major collaborative curriculum redevelopment initiative and the inclusion of QI in 2017. Changes included implementing new learning, teaching and assessments; followed by a research project to measure the students’ perceptions of this preparation at the conclusion of their transition to practice placement prior to registration and then again at the end of their first year of practice as registered nurses (RN’s). The research team found reports of QI practice change and positive outcomes following the initial study with Bachelor of Nursing students in their final year. Using a questionnaire design, graduate nurses (n=31) perceptions and practice experiences relating to their undergraduate QI education and if this was useful in their practice as beginning RN’s. Findings suggest that new graduates found their undergraduate (baseline knowledge) and subsequent workplace learning experiences supported them to engage with a range of QI tools and methods to improve patient/ outcomes and contribute positively to organisational performance. Yet barriers to engagement in QI were reported suggesting further improvements in undergraduate nursing and social science curricula are required to help students prepare to manage the competing challenges of workload, time, novice status, tiredness, and the impact of learning new role requirements as they transition to the workplace. Higher education academics, researchers and practice based educators and managers need to work collaboratively to improve learning in QI, and reduce barriers to ensure optimal health and social service sector outcomes.
Judith Honeyfield, Deborah Sims, Adam Proverbs, Wendy Rowe Copyright (c) http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSMALTA2020/article/view/623 Wed, 11 Mar 2020 00:00:00 +0700 TEXT DATA MINING OF THE “Tourism English Proficiency Test” http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSMALTA2020/article/view/624
According to the White Paper on Tourism for 2019, 18.95 million Japanese people travelled abroad, and 31.19 million foreigners came to Japan for sightseeing in 2018. It can be said that it is just the time of sightseeing right now. Therefore, knowledge of tourism has become more and more important, and the necessity for using English, which can be said to be a world common language, has increased. As a measurement of English communication competence needed at tourism sites, the “Tourism English Proficiency Test” started in 1989. In this study, English sentences of the “Tourism English Proficiency Test” were examined, and compared with other proficiency tests and English textbooks for junior high and high school students in terms of metrical linguistics. In short, frequency characteristics of character- and word-appearance were investigated using a program written in C++. These characteristics were approximated by an exponential function. Furthermore, the percentage of Japanese junior high school required vocabulary and American basic vocabulary was calculated to obtain the difficulty-level as well as the K-characteristic of each material.
Hiromi Ban, Takashi Oyabu Copyright (c) http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSMALTA2020/article/view/624 Wed, 11 Mar 2020 00:00:00 +0700
