2025-03-282025-03-283741Equity in music education: Embraces cultural diversity in the multicultural classroom a case study for a Multiculturalism music course
http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSHOKKAIDO2025/article/view/1607

The study of musical cultural variety allows students to gain insight into the history, forms, structures, performing styles, and musical thought of cultures other than their own. This can help to establish a mindset for making musical works and improve the process for producing academic works. It teaches students how to integrate knowledge in order to achieve their academic goals. Our curriculum promotes interactive learning, with a focus on developing critical thinking abilities in students and encourages them not to pass judgment on any problem without question or quickly acquiesce. This encourages individuals to seek knowledge on their own, which is a vital ability for learning in the twenty-first century. Considering the institution is located in an area with a diverse musical culture, students may learn about Thai, Chinese, Western, Middle Eastern, and Mekong River cultures, all affected by conflict, religion, and trade. This piques students' interest while improving their experiences, giving them a solid foundation of knowledge about cultural variety and raising awareness of global citizenship.
Chitsanupong Intarakaew

http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSHOKKAIDO2025/article/view/1614

This research investigates the potential of ceramic bas-relief artworks as a medium for preserving fragile and ephemeral memories, transforming them into enduring artifacts. The primary objectives are to explore the ability of ceramic art to safeguard transient memories, analyze how natural patterns, such as termite traces, can deepen understanding of temporal connections, and contribute to the broader discourse on the intersection of art, time, and cultural preservation. The study focuses on termite-inspired patterns, which symbolize impermanence and transformation, serving as metaphors for the connection between past, present, and future. The methodology involves the creation and analysis of ceramic bas-relief artworks. These artworks reinterpret ephemeral natural traces into durable ceramic forms, contrasting the transient nature of the original imprints with the enduring qualities of ceramics. The process includes observing and documenting termite traces, translating these patterns into artistic designs, and crafting ceramic pieces that embody the conceptual framework of preserving memory and time. The data consists of termite trace patterns, their artistic interpretations, and the resulting ceramic works. Through this method, the research produces tangible representations of temporal connections and explores how art can encapsulate cultural and emotional narratives. The anticipated results include the development of new approaches to artistic preservation of memory, providing a deeper understanding of how ephemeral elements can be immortalized through art. Additionally, this research contributes to academic discussions on art's role in cultural preservation and highlights its potential to inspire future generations to value shared histories.
Pasutt Kanrattanasutra

2025-03-282025-03-287680Promoting Thai Dance in the Digital Age
http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSHOKKAIDO2025/article/view/1616

Thai dance is a form of cultural heritage that embodies the identity and way of life of the Thai people. In the digital era, technology has played a pivotal role in preserving and globally disseminating this cultural tradition. The present study aims to investigate strategies for employing online media in promoting Thai dance, drawing upon a qualitative research design encompassing document analysis and in-depth interviews. The findings reveal that online platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok are instrumental in expanding outreach and fostering engagement between content creators and audiences. Storytelling through images, audio, video, and multimedia effectively enhances both the appeal and depth of the content. Furthermore, digital technologies promote creative approaches—for instance, by integrating AR/VR into live performances. Nonetheless, the consumption of digital content may pose risks to the cultural value of Thai dance. Consequently, the use of digital technology should emphasize a balance between conservation and development, ensuring that the distinct identity of Thai dance endures and flourishes sustainably in the digital era.
Whutthichai Khathawi

http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSHOKKAIDO2025/article/view/1620

“The Visual Aesthetic of Lucky Cat Universe” presents ideas about the aesthetics of good luck reflected through the paintings in the cosmos of lucky cats. These works were created using acrylic paint on canvas in a two-dimensional format, conveying beliefs about fortune and positive energy through charming and adorable cat images. The lucky cat universe is inspired by "Maneki Neko," the lucky cat in Japanese culture, which has been reinterpreted to possess its own unique identity, with each cat representing different meanings of good luck, such as wealth, love, health, and happiness. The paintings discussed in this article not only focus on artistic beauty but also reflect the connection between symbols of fortune, such as four-leaf clovers, and the encouragement of positive energy for the viewers. The use of bright colors and a dreamy atmosphere helps convey hope, faith, and positive energy, allowing viewers to experience happiness and encouragement from the artwork. This artwork thus combines art and cultural meaning that inspires those who observe it.
From the above contents, this acrylic painting was created and inspired by the story of enjoying life in the simple way of a cat and a four-leaf clover. To reflect people's awareness of the value of time and happiness in the present, the image of a cat standing in the colorful atmosphere of the universe presents the aesthetics and beauty, affecting the feeling of happiness, which is a wish of everyone.
Jaruwan Mueangkhwa

http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSHOKKAIDO2025/article/view/1623

This study examines the significant impact of directional beliefs and favorable orientations on the choreography of Thai classical dance. The study looks at how positive orientations, like those shown in the Four-Directional Dance and the change from right to left, affect the planning, performance, and symbolic representation of choreography by looking at how artistic practices and cultural traditions meet. To show how cultural ideas affect the spiritual and aesthetic aspects of Thai classical dance, the study uses qualitative methods such as document analysis, semi-structured interviews with dance experts, and observational studies of ceremonial performances. The findings highlight that favorable orientations significantly influence movement choices, stage configurations, and narrative frameworks in performances. Ritual dances and religious performances, intricately designed with these ideas, convey cultural identity, spiritual importance, and artistic sophistication. Still, strictly following these traditions might make it harder to come up with new choreographies, especially in modern settings that put an emphasis on audience preferences and artistic flexibility. This study promotes a balanced approach to maintaining the relevance and vitality of Thai classical dance, integrating traditional principles with creative flexibility. Practitioners can maintain the cultural history and symbolic significance of Thai dance while accommodating the changing demands of contemporary audiences. This dual strategy preserves the art form's rich heritage while facilitating its ongoing development and global relevance in a dynamic cultural environment.
Mananshaya PhetrucheePhakamas JirajarupatRatiphat Siriphong

The compositions include both double and single rhythmic patterns, accompanied by the Thai drum (Taphon) to emphasize the two-beat structure. Performed by a piphat ensemble with soft mallets, the music draws inspiration from myths and beliefs, interwoven into traditional melodies that portray the beauty of culture and reverence for Naga. The composition reflects the elegant motion of Naga in water, merging the majestic and powerful aspects of nature through its rhythmic and melodic structure. The melodies are designed to depict the graceful and distinctive characteristics of Naga, including fluid and gentle movement. The double rhythmic pattern conveys conciseness and sweetness, while the single rhythmic pattern brings liveliness and excitement, enhancing the audience's emotional engagement.
Pramot TeangtrongSirima Panapinun

This study, titled "Guidelines for Developing Painting Skills Using the Technique of Imitating Classical Paintings," aims to develop technical skills in oil painting and establish learning approaches to aesthetic appreciation and conceptual understanding among second-year students enrolled in the Painting 3 course at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. A qualitative research method was employed, involving classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and an analysis of student portfolios. The study engaged 28 second-year students in a semester-long program where they imitated masterpieces by artists such as Henri Fantin-Latour, John Singer Sargent, and Camille Corot. The research process included three main stages: theoretical introduction, guided practice, and reflection through critique sessions. The findings reveal that imitation significantly enhanced students' technical skills, particularly in blending, glazing, and layering techniques. Additionally, the practice deepened their appreciation for classical artistry and fostered analytical skills through reflective critiques. Despite challenges like time limitations and varying skill levels, the results underscore the method's value in building foundational artistic competencies. This research contributes to the development of effective pedagogical strategies in art education by demonstrating how classical imitation can bridge historical methodologies with contemporary practices. It offers practical insights for educators aiming to inspire technical mastery and creative exploration among art students.
Cheerawat Wanta
