Two objectives were (1) to investigate the concentration of CO2 and CH4 emitted from wastewater systems in swine farms, (2) to compare the concentration of these greenhouse gases emitted from different wastewater treatments of swine farms which were anaerobic filter tank system and stabilization pond system, and (3) to indicate the relationship between the concentration of CO2 and CH4 emitted from wastewater systems in swine farms. A number of twelve swine farms were selected as the sample of this study in which six of them represented the farms having anaerobic filter tank system and the rest represented the farms with stabilization pond system as their wastewater treatment plants. Statistical methods used to analyze data were mean (X), minimum, maximum, independent – samples test (t – Test) and Pearson correlation coefficient (r) at the significant level of 95%. Results of the study showed that (1) the concentration of CO2 emitted from anaerobic filter tank and stabilization pond system varied widely between 57.0 to 5,545.0 and 2,755.0 to 28,662.0 ppm., respectively. In the same manner, the concentration of CH4 also varied widely between 11.3 to 5,924.0 from anaerobic filter tank system and 1,500.0 to 15,620.2 ppm. from stabilization pond system; (2) the emission of CO2 and CH4 from anaerobic filter tank system and stabilization pond system were statistically different at the significant level of .01 [Sig. = .007 and .009 < α (.01)]. Besides, the study indicated that relationship between the concentration of CO2 and CH4 was at a very high level with the correlation coefficient (r) of 0.925. It means that the concentration of these two greenhouse gases will change in the same direction. That is, if the concentration of CO2 increase, the concentration of CH4 will also increase, and vice versa.
Anat Thapinta Copyright (c) 2019 ICBTS Conference Center http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSAMSTERDAM/article/view/163 Fri, 10 May 2019 00:00:00 +0700 MISSING OLD AGE PERSON RECORDING SYSTEM http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSAMSTERDAM/article/view/164
The purpose of this research is to study on the process of recording, retrieving and database missing persons who are old age. The Olympic Games is built on their very core values when the games bring together people around the world to witness one of the amazing sports events in the world. It is a congregation of the Olympic Games, three core values, i.e., excellence, friendship and respect, are around the world.
The immense role of the dissemination of Olympic values and promoting and overseeing the Olympic Games falls on the shoulder of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) which is a decision – making organization regarding the Olympic affairs. Though a huge responsibility lied upon the IOC, the IOC alone cannot operate and function at this successful level. The National Olympic Committees (NOCs) from various countries need to provide considerable support to the IOC, and the accomplishment of the IOC’s objectives can be achieved only if the NOCs work efficiently and effectively.
The NOCs perform various functions and provide significant contribution to promote sports in a country. Thailand is one of the IOC members. The missions of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand (NOCT) under the Royal Patronage of H.M. the King include supporting and promoting amateur sports and physical education, sending delegated athletes and the international. Competitions, providing welfare and education for athletes and coaches, organizing a sports museum, and coordination with different management of the NOCT are highly essential. Effective management of the NOCT will lead not only to the increasing number of junior athletes and national athletes and the success of our national athletes in major international sports competitions, but also to gear Thailand to be a healthy society using sports as a means to this end.
In business, it is often argued that effective management is caused by competition. The term “creative destruction” coined by Joseph Schumpeter has continuously been proven through time that the most effective and innovative firms will thrive. Without competition, there is no real incentive and need for firms to be effective and efficient. Firms can do whatever they want bearing few or no consequences. Many sports governing bodies, e.g. the IOC and the NOCs, however, have no competition and, thus, are a monopoly. Yet, they organizations that need to be most effective.
In this paper, I will argue that corporate governance is the solution to make the NOCs and the IOC to be most effective by using an example of the NOCT. Corporate governance (CG) can be loosely defined as to how to institute integrity to organizations/industries. Similar to business, the IOC and the NOCs need to instill integrity to their members no matter who they are or what role they take. A cleverly tailored corporate govemance process employing control from both top-down and bottom-up will provide a necessary means to make the NOCs or, in this paper, the NOCT become well managed.
Suriyan Somphong, Komkrit Rattamanee Copyright (c) 2019 ICBTS Conference Center http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSAMSTERDAM/article/view/169 DEVELOPMENT VEGAN COOKIES BY USING FERMENTED SOYBEAN (TEMPEH) http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSAMSTERDAM/article/view/170
Tempeh is a soybean fermented vegetarian food. In 2018, its production had reached more than 345,000 tons which could generate several farming activities and incomes to the farmers and finally increase the export values to Thailand more than 60,000 million baht per year. However, in 2012, it has been reported about an outbreak of infectious disease named as acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND) in Thailand and the causative agent came from Gram negative bacterium, Vibrio parahaemolyticus specific isolates (VPAHPND isolates). This pathogen produces two important types of toxin including PirA and PirB which affect hepatopancreas of shrimp and cause sudden mass mortalities. The present study aimed to solve the problem of VPAHPND infection by using immune stimulant strategies. Shrimp shell obtained from frozen industry was employed as the main source to extract lipid metabolites and used as the immune stimulant. Shrimp fed with lipid metabolites mixed feed for 1 week were subjected to investigate an immune gene expression by RT-PCR analysis. Compared with a control group, shrimp fed with immune stimulant feed formula showed the up regulation of anti-lipopolysaccharide factor (ALF) gene by 1.3-fold. This result indicated that lipid metabolites extracted from shrimp shell can induce the expression of ALF, one of the essential immune genes in shrimp and it had high potential to further apply for protection of VPAHPND infection in shrimp aquaculture.
Kiadtikhun Yotpricha, Siwaporn Koedmanee, Pakkakul Sangsuriya, Wattana Panphut Copyright (c) http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSAMSTERDAM/article/view/194 Fri, 10 May 2019 00:00:00 +0700 THE STUDY OF SENSORIAL EVALUATION SCREENING FOR NOVEL THAI CURRY PASTE http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSAMSTERDAM/article/view/195
Curry was a favorite dish in Thai restaurants throughout the world and for good reason. This research aim is to provide a model that will allow the NLP to correctly diagnose unknown words and replaced by the correct words. To complete this, the researcher firstly analyzes the characteristics of the unknown words that are not recognized by the NLP model. By collecting 12,800 text files of messages from various sources including both online and offline, cover all levels of language, formal, semi-formal, and non-formal. These text files were analyzed for the characteristics of the unknown words and classified into 7 types: Excess of alphabets, Missing of alphabets, Repetition of alphabets, Typo error, Misplacement of alphabets, Slang words and Mixed type error. To overcome the unknown words' problem. Complete Soundex is used to correct the misspelled words, the diversity of spelling, slangs and modification of traditional words by analyzing the unknown words to provide the correct words with the highest similarity. Evaluation of the model is performed by inputting the test dataset, which is natural language sentences collected from a sample group of 125 people with a total of 3,750 sentences, into the model to detect the unknown words and analyze to provide the correct words that can be used to replace the unknown word. Then collect all outputs and calculate the precision, recall and F1-score value. The result showed that the performance of the model was very good. The precision, recall and F1-score value are all greater than 90% and the unknown words that cannot be corrected by the model are 6.88% of the overall unknown words. There are 2 reasons that makes this model unable to solve these unknown words: 1) too much misspelling position in the unknown word and 2) the Word segmentation module cannot specify the boundaries of the unknown words correctly. In order to solve this problem, there should be more research to improve the process of analysis of unknown words' boundaries and using of co-occurrence word analysis which will help improve the model's efficiency.
Chalermpol Tapsai, Wilailuk Rakbumrung Copyright (c) http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSAMSTERDAM/article/view/201 Fri, 10 May 2019 00:00:00 +0700 COMPARISON OF STABILITY LATENT FINGERPRINT ON PLASTIC http://icbtsproceeding.ssru.ac.th/index.php/ICBTSAMSTERDAM/article/view/202
The aims of this research are to study the latent fingerprint remaining the period on plastic by on using black powder dusting and superglue method to reveals determined the latent fingerprints and compared them qualities of them on three types of plastic surfaces including Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Polystyrene Polypropylene (PP) The plastics were selected from the supermarket and they were investigated to find latent fingerprints in five different periods; 1 hour, 3 hours, 6 hours, 1 day, 5 days and 7 days.
